2016 Round Britain Challenge
This summer between 2nd - 17th July 2016 the Flying for Freedom Team will flying around Britain making stop-offs at airfields close to Service Personnel Recovery Centres. At these stop-offs disabled servicemen and women from that region will be able to come along and take a taster flight piloted by their injured comrades. The aim is to help “Inspire" them during their recovery and perhaps be the first step on their route to becoming a pilot.
The Flying for Freedom Team are also seeking to raise £25,000 as part of the trip through donations and sponsorship. This will help fund future pilot training for injured service personnel. If you are able to help please follow the links on this site to our ‘Just Giving’ page…..every little helps to enable an injured serviceman/woman to experience the thrill of microlight flying. Thank you.
Please follow the team as they make their journey around the UK on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter - search Flying for Freedom). During the trip the team will also be posting a daily video diary on the Flying for Freedom Youtube channel.
